And that insane last part lasts 20 seconds, which is about double the length of the "insane phase" of other survival spellcards. The first two phases are managable once you know the trick, but the third phase is insane, period. Mamizou's is managable once you know what's coming, although it takes some luck not to screw up on the last 10 seconds. I lucked out once and nearly captured it, now I can't deal with it at all anymore lol. Nue only has one, but it's probably by far her hardest spellcard. The first one is probably the easiest survival spellcard ever (I have a 100% capture rate on it lol), but the second one is tough even if you know what to expect. The second one starts out laughable, but becomes so fast near the end that it too is nigh impossible to survive without bombing (although bombing does work fine). The first one is managable until the second clone appears, then it becomes pretty insane. I do usually bomb the second part though because apparently I'm too incompetent to move in circles. Mokou's is pretty easy, and in fact probably one of her easiest spellcards overall.

Yukari gets another one, though, and that one's pure memorization. Ran's and Yukari's are both pretty easy, just stay calm. Flandre's is pretty easy, should be capturable once you know what's coming. Yeah, Possessed by Phoenix isn't too bad. And that's supposedly one of the easier spells (according to Fera). The only Extra spell I've encountered was Possessed by Phoenix (via Spell Practice) and I failed hard at it. MoF Extra with MarisaB sounds fun though, but I'm not sure I want to put effort into a game-breaking clear. I couldn't even figure out Sinker Ghost, after all. I might try some PCB Extra later, but I'm honestly not too optimistic about Princess Tenko. I even tried micrododging, but it was just too much for me. I had like two lives at that time too, so I had more than enough time to try figuring out Maze of Love with no success. I captured Kagome Kagome in my first encounter, yay! Then Maze of Love destroyed me. I keep forgetting about the second curved slash though, but either way, it just seems like pure memorization. I then tried some EoSD Extra with MarisaA and sorta kinda figured out Lævateinn. How exactly are we supposed to deal with it? I did capture it once in Spell Practice, but that was after a million tries and I was most likely doing it wrong.

The main problem with DDC Extra though, is definitely Three Strikes to Midnight. In fact, that non-spell actually seems quite manageable once I get past the overwhelming first encounter.

If I didn't incur multiple wasted deaths, I could've easily made it further. DDC is still the game where I'm making the most progress, going as far as the non-spell after the curved laser spell.
